THREE SECTORS. Automotive, with over 180 partner companies, spanning raw materials and components through R&D to complete vehicle manufacture. Rail systems, covering rolling stock, track infrastructure and signalling. AEROSPACE, where more than 80 Styrian companies generate over EUR 650 million in annual revenue and employ around 3,000 people, with core competencies in cabin interiors, structural components, powertrains, materials and lightweight construction. ECONOMIC WEIGHT. The Styrian automotive industry is the province's leading exporter at 31% of exports and over EUR 8 billion in value, and the mobility industry accounts for 24% of Styria's gross regional product — one euro in four. ORIGINS. Founded in 1995 around three companies: AVL List, Steyr Daimler Puch Fahrzeugtechnik and the Chrysler Eurostar plant. Stated specialisms now include digitalisation and digital business models, innovative drive and vehicle concepts, AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS, mobility services and decarbonised value chains. It runs the ACstyria Mobility Congress and an Enabling Transformation initiative, and publishes an annual report.
